’24 Carrollton Trojan Schedule Breakdown and Predictions

If you ask anyone what would make the Trojan season complete this year and they answer with anything other than a State Title than they might not be telling the whole truth. No doubt Carrollton is loaded and will be one of a handful of talented teams to compete for the 6A Title in ’24.

August 16th at Woodward Academy

The War Eagles come in as the #7 ranked team in 5A after last seasons State Runner up campaign. Woodward has some talent of their own, Notre Dame commit, and a name NFL fans will know, 6’3 WR Jerome Bettis Jr. Calpreps Prediction: Carrollton by 16

August 23rd Home vs Columbia

The Trojans open their home campaign hosting the Columbia Eagles from Decatur who finished 9-4 last season in 2A Calpreps: Carrollton by 35

August 30th Home vs Rome

August come to a close with what has become a heated local rivalry over the last few seasons when they host the Rome Wolves. I may take a lot of heat when I post this prediction by Carrollton did win this game by 20 last year. Calpreps: Carrollton by 18

September 6th Home vs Lithia Springs

The Lions are looking to rebound in ’24 after going 2-8 in 5A last Season. Calpreps: Carrollton by 35

September 13th Home vs Gainesville

The Trojans close out a month long home stretch with a highly anticipated matchup with the Gainesville Red Elephants. The Elephants are coming off a good 2023 season when they finished 12-1 and enter the ’24 season as the #6 ranked team in 5A. Calpreps: Carrollton by 25

September 20th at Parker, Al

The Trojans hit the road and travel over to Birmingham to play the #3 ranked team in Alabama 6A. The Thundering Herd sport a talented roster themselves with 4 highly rated prospects in their lineup. Calpreps: Carrollton by 19

September 27 – OFF before starting Region play

October 4th Home vs Westlake

Region play gets underway as the Trojans host the #7 Lions. Carrollton won this matchup last season 31-7. Calpreps: Carrollton by 18

October 11 Home vs Chapel Hill

The Trojans will be big favorites in this one but they have to be careful not to overlook a talented Panther squad. Calpreps: Carrollton by 35

October 18 at East Coweta

They will need this win to set up a potential Region Title game in the final week of the season. Calpreps: Carrollton by 35

October 25 – OFF

November 1st at Douglas County

It would be a shock to no one if these 2 teams came into this game ranked #1 and #2 in the State and battling for the Region Title. On paper the Trojans toughest test of the year Calpreps: Carrollton by 7

Final Word

Tough schedule with a lot of pitfalls but would not be surprised to see the Trojans finish at 10-0 or end up in the Benz in December.
