3 Names To Know: Calhoun Yellow Jackets

Over the next few weeks we will highlight 3 players to know from the 54 teams we follow at NwGaFootball.

The Yellow Jackets finished 2023 6-4 and missed the playoffs for the 1st time since 1999. They move back to AAA in 2024 where they won their 2 most recent State Championships in 2014 and 17.

Coach Stephenson is entering his 6th season with the Jackets with a record of 46-17 with 1 Region Title and State Championship game appearance in that span.

The Jackets will graduate a talented Senior class this May but return a very talented rising Junior class and several experienced Class of 25 guys.

Emaree Winston

’25 WR/TE

If you have even halfway been following high school football in NWGA over the past 4 years you know Winston. The multisport 6’2 240 TE/WR has been a go to option for the Yellow Jackets since his freshman season. The University of Texas commit is one to get out and see this Fall.

Justin “Jutt” Beasley

’26 Athlete

Break out player here in 2024. I had several people who were seeing Calhoun live last season text me about this guy. Speed, quickness, great hands. Was 2nd Team All 7-5A last season as a Sophomore.

Sager Quinn

’26 DL/TE

Another Yellow Jacket rising Junior with a bright future. This guy has been on peoples radar since middle school and has lived up to the expectations so far. 6’3 240 with great technical skills and high motor. Future star for the Jackets.
