Team #11: Chattooga Indians
The Indians finished ’23 at 2-8 under 1st year Head Coach Roone Gable but had several positives to grow on. They ended the season with a win over Coosa and had an upset win over a good Coahulla Creek team. The Indians were young last season and this being the 2nd season under Coach Gable and the experience coming back the Indians should compete for a playoff spot this Fall.
3 Names to Know
’25 RB Zayden Cook
The 5’11 180 pound Senior has all the tools to be one of the top RBs in our coverage area in ’24. Good size and break away speed that can take it to the house quick. Had one of the top 40 yard times at the Shorter Camp last Summer. POY candidate.
’26 OT Luke Reece
The 6’3 285 is a raw OL prospect. Moves well with a good, likes to get after on both sides of the ball. Reece will be a big part of Indians success in running the ball in ’24.
’25 ATH Quarry Gibson
The 5’9 Gibson is the type of player you can line up at any skill position on the field. Good route runner with good hands and physical. Picks up a lot of YAC bullying his way through the defense. Likes to hit you on defense. Great compliment to the run game.
