3 Names to Know in ’24: Fannin Co Rebels

**Note: Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Fannin Co program and the Holsonback family on their loss.

Over the next few weeks we will be highlighting 3 players from each of the 3 schools we follow at NwGaFootball.

Team #20: Fannin Co Rebels

The Rebels finished 5-6 in ’23. While maybe the not they were looking for in the win loss column, they still qualified for the playoffs for an unprecedented 6th straight season with a very young squad. Chad Cheatham enters 7th season with the Rebels. The former NwGaFootball COY has 2 Region Titles and 6 straight playoff appearances under his belt and is one of the most respected Coaches by his peers.

3 Names to Know

’25 QB Lawson Sullivan: One of the most productive players in NwGA for the 2023 season. The dual threat QB accounted for over 2600 total yards, pretty much an even split in passing and rushing, and scored 31 total TDs. He is on the short list for the preseason 2024 NwGaFootball POY.

’25 ATH Carson Callihan: The 5’11 190 RB had a great Junior campaign for the Rebels. He rushed for 966 yards and added 276 yards on 16 receptions catching the ball out of the backfield while scoring 15 TDs. He had 40 TT from LB spot on defense.

’25 LB Cooper Born: In my opinion, one of the most underrated linebacker prospects in our area. Good size at 6’1 215 and is a workout warrior off the field. Recorded 107 TT in 2023 and was named 1st Team All Region.
