Team #22: Gordon Central Warriors

No way to sugar coat it, the Warriors are in the midst of a 31 game winless streak. They showed some fight last season up to the final week, losing by 1 point in the season finale. GC has had a full season under 2nd year Head Coach Lenny Gregrory and a lot of young Warriors have bought into the system, the streak ends in ’24.

3 Names to Know

’25 WR/DE DJ Fleetwood: Tall, long, and strong. Has the ability to lineup at the TE spot, named 2nd Team All Region in ’23, or out wide. At 6’3 235 he is an imposing force on the DL. One of the hidden jewels in NWGA for ’24.

’26 WR/FS Riley Thomas: The 5’9 155 Thomas was named a 2nd Team All Region DB in ’23 as a sophomore. Good football IQ and is physical.

’25 WR/DB Jayden Sibley: The 5’7 DBs Junior season was derailed last year by a preseason injury. Headed into last Fall he was on my “Break-Out POY” list and even though it’s a year later ’24 is the year. Athletic with great ball skills.
