Team #28: LaFayette Ramblers
The Ramblers finished the 2023 season at 3-7. 1st year Head Coach Ethan Thompson takes over the program in ’24. LaFayette has been knocking on the door of their 1st over .500 season since 2008 and Coach Thompson has a solid core of players to build toward that goal.
3 Players to Know in ’24
’25 RB Khalas Finley: When you think LaFayette football the last several years, Finley is the 1st name that comes to mind. He was an absolute workhorse for the Ramblers in ’23 carrying the ball 28 times a game and rushing for over 1300 yards with 12 TDs. At 6’3 he is an imposing presence in the backfield and will be a big part of the teams success this Fall.
’25 LB Nicolas Whitefield: Whitefield was 1st Team All Region LB last year as a Junior after totaling 70 TT with an impressive 18 TFL. Old school, hard nosed football player. He had a season high 13 solo tackles vs Sonoraville last season.
’26 WR Porter Sentell: Was 2nd on the team in receptions (8) last season with 2 TDs including a 58 yard score in the season finale win over Ridgeland. The 5’10 Sentell should be the go to WR option this Fall for the Ramblers.
