Team #32: Mt Zion Eagles
Head Coach Brad Gordon enters his 8th season at Mt. Zion having led the Eagles to the post season in 6 of his 7 seasons. He guided them to their best season ever in 2017, a 10-3 record with a Semifinal appearance. The young Eagles were 3-8 in ’23 and return a solid group this Fall to compete in what may be the toughest Single A Public region in the State.
3 Names to Know in ’24
’26 LB Jayden Ackey
The 5’10 200 LB was named 1st Team All Region last season as a Sophomore. Was named to the RecruitGeorgia HM All State team at ILB. Aggressive tackler with a lot of muscle. Recently became a member of the Eagles 1000 pound Club.
’25 WR Carlos Randell
Big things come in small packages. The 5’6 150 pound WR/DB can absolutely fly. Was a 1st Team All Region selection last year after catching 33 passes for 329 yards with 4 TDs, including a 53 yarder vs Heritage Newnan. Ran a 11.24 early in April in the 100m.
’25 RB/FS Daniel Entrabartolo
Two way stud for the Eagles in ’23. Was 2nd on the team in rushing yards with 258 on 46 carries. He led the team in TT with 55 and TFL with 5. With Montgomery graduating at RB, Entrabartolo along with rising Junior Damien Sanders with see a lot more action this season out of the backfield.
