Team #33: Murray Co Indians
The Indians finished the ’23 season at 2-8 which included one of the statistical upsets of the year when they went on the road and beat Chattooga 28-21. Head Coach Kurt Napier enters his 3rd season with the Indians in what on paper looks like a rebuilding year. A lot of young Indians will be getting opportunities this Spring and Summer to break into the Fall lineup.
’26 WR Nat Perry
The rising Junior 5’10 WR will be in the competition for WR1 this Fall for the Indians. Had a game high 5 catches last season vs Coahulla Creek. Good possession receiver that doesn’t mind catching the ball in traffic.
’26 QB Trent Childers
Looking at the roster it appears Childers will enter the Summer as the Indians QB1. Was an efficient game manager last season. According to the 3 games of stats on Maxpreps he was 14 of 22 with 2 passing TDs, including a season long 44 yard pass vs Coahulla Creek.
’25 OL/DL Aiden Duran
If the Indians are going to have success in ’24 they will need the Senior leadership and experience up front that Duran brings. Physical kid that can play anywhere across the offensive front. High motor that gets after it.
