August 16th Home vs Cedartown
#3 AA Yellow Jackets open up the season at Home vs their traditional cross county rival the Cedartown Bulldogs. The #14 AAAA Bulldogs return a lot of talent on both sides of the ball and will be a tough test for Rockmart in the opener. Calpreps: Rockmart by
August 23rd Away at Cartersville
It doesn’t get any easier in Week 2 for the Jackets as they head to Cartersville to play the #1 AAAA Hurricanes. It has been 11 years since these two powerhouses have squared off. Calpreps: Cartersville by 14
August 30th OFF ( The Jackets take a week off before starting the 8 game Region Schedule)
Sept 6th Away at Ringgold
Challenging Region opener on the Road at Ringgold. Calpreps: Rockmart by 27
Sept 13th Home vs Union County
A rematch of last years 2nd Rd playoff game. The Jackets won that one 56-14 on their route to the Benz. Calpreps: Rockmart by 33
Sept 20th Away at Coahulla Creek
The Jackets head north to face a Colts team that has been on the rise over the last several seasons. Calpreps: Rockmart by 35
Sept 27th Home vs Sonoraville
The Jackets open a 3 game home stretch by hosting the Phoenix. Calpreps: Rockmart by 33
Oct 4th OFF
Oct 11th Home v North Cobb Chirstian
On paper this looks like it has the potential to be the Region Title game, a lot can change between now and October. NCC brings in one of the top rising Soph QBs in the State. Calpreps: Rockmart by 25
Oct 18th Home v LFO
Senior Night for Jackets as they close out their ’24 home schedule vs the LFO Warriors. Calpreps: Rockmart by 35
Oct 25th Away v Murray Co
The 1st of back to back trips to Murray Co Area. The first one is first the Indians Calpreps: Rockmart by 35
Nov 1st Away v North Murray
The Jackets end the regular season with a trip to North Murray to face the Mountaineers Calpreps: Rockmart by 27
The Final Word
Incredible 1st two weeks of the schedule. Shout out to the Rockmart staff for not being scared to step up and play top tier, larger opponents.
Calpreps has the Jackets going 9-1, I don’t think anyone would be surprised if they finish 10-0 or 8-2. The biggest surprise will be if they don’t win their 8th consecutive Region Title.
