These news, notes , observations from the May 10th scrimmage weekend. I either saw with my eyes, saw video, or was told (grain of salt test).
- I saw a very competitive game Friday. Woodland and North Cobb Christian both have a solid group of talented players to work with heading in the Summer.
- Woodland RB Isaiah Livsey had an outstanding game. Had 3 runs of 30+ , including a 60 yard TD. Was breaking tackles and putting on spin moves and showed breakaway speed.
- No doubt NCC has a talented QB in Teddy Jarrad but they have a solid WR core to compliment him. Rising Soph’s DJ Huggins and Brody Archie both had outstanding games catching the ball.
- Dade County rising SR Demetrius Walker is going to be one to watch this season. Good hands with a lot of speed.
- That Class A North Division is going to be a fun one to watch. Fannin Co and Gordon Lee are bringing back a ton of talent this Fall and throw Christian Heritage in the mix. The Lions scored 49 points in their scrimmage Friday night at North Murray.
- Impressive performance by Rome rising 8th grade QB Zach Parker in their Spring Jamboree. He threw for 7 TDs and was 18-30 for 247 yards. One of the top QB prospects in the ’29 Class.
